Keach Library Book Drive

Some needs are more local than others. When we heard that the Nueces Country Keach Library needed help raising books for a summer reading program, called “Día de los Niños”, we decided to hold a one-day book drive at the Stripes Support Center. 

We fully embraced this cause and even held a competition to see which department could raise the most books.

The book drive also featured a radio remote and TV coverage, asking listeners and viewers to join the donation event, with new or used books in hand.

Stripes mascots, cheerleaders from a local sports franchise, community members, along with a prize wheel, rounded out the atmosphere at this one-day event, which far exceeded our target.
